CERTIFICATIONS: Certified
Graduate Remodeler (CGR)

Like
an MBA or certified public accountant, the CGR designation is an advanced
degree for Remodelers. Taking on average more than two years to complete,
this remodeling graduate program offered through NAHB’s University of
Housing teaches extensive technical, business, and customer skills well
beyond those of the average contractor. And unlike most graduate degrees,
CGRs renew their designation every three years with continuing education
and abiding by a strict code of ethics. “The CGR designation is the
highest level of education in the remodeling industry,” said Remodelers
Council Chairman Vince Butler, CGR, CAPS, GMB, a Remodeler from Clifton,
Va. “These home Remodelers bring unmatched professionalism to every job,
resulting in the best possible end product for homeowners.” Zwingelberg
Enterprises has received numerous professional certifications and
designations, including the CGR.
Very few remodeler's, in the
Mid-Atlantic area, have obtained all three major certifications (CGR, CMR,
CAPS). These certifications help you, as a consumer, have confidence
that Zwingelberg Enterprises, Inc. is reputable, experienced and
dedicated remodeler.
This certification is a
national certification developed by the National Association of
Homebuilders (NAHB). The Certified Graduate Remodelor ™ (CGR) is an
exclusive professional designation designed to emphasize business management
skills as the key to a professional remodeling operation. The CGR
designation requires:
- that graduates meet
prescribed standards of business practice,
- possess a minimum of five
years remodeling experience,
- have a proven track record
of successful project management,
- complete a comprehensive
education curriculum and
- pledge to uphold the
program's code of ethics.
