CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Master Remodeler (CMR)
Zwingelberg Enterprises, Inc.
is proud to be among a select few remodelers in Maryland, who have achieved
the Certified Master Remodeler (CMR) designation. This certification,
is a local certification developed by the Homebuilders Association of
Maryland (HBAM) and is heavily promoted to consumers as a way to reinforce
the quality of the remodelors who hold this distinction. The certification
is for the remodelor who has a proven track record of financial stability
and integrity and is capable of consistently providing professionalism,
credibility, quality workmanship and service. Once certified,
participating companies must comply with ongoing renewal criteria which
mirrors the original acceptance standards and produces evidence of
participation in approved industry continuing education programs.
To obtain this certification,
remodelers must meet stringent review criteria in areas including among
others;
- established time in the
industry,
- consumer satisfaction,
- financial performance,
- adherence to accepted
building technology standards,
- customer service and
governmental compliance.
Once certified, participating
companies must comply with ongoing renewal criteria, which mirrors the
original acceptance standards and produces evidence of participation in
approved industry continuing education programs.
The CMR program requires that
Certified Master Remodelers adopt and abide to the NAHB Residential
Construction Performance Guidelines. The program also requires the Certified
Master Remodeler to provide a binding arbitration process to resolve
complaints that are not resolved directly between themselves and the
homeowner.
